There are six core attributes in Avowed:
- Might: Enhances physical and spiritual strength, boosting damage from all sources and increasing carry capacity. High Might unlocks unique dialogue options, potentially intimidating foes or avoiding combat.
- Constitution: Improves overall health and stamina, increasing maximum health and resistance to poison and bleeding. It also unlocks certain dialogue choices.
- Dexterity: Increases attack and action speeds, improving weapon and ability use, consumable use, parkour, and reload speed. It significantly boosts mobility.
- Perception: Boosts critical hit chance and maximum range for ranged weapons (bows, wands, guns). It offers additional, albeit often minor, dialogue options.
- Intellect: Increases maximum essence and resistance to fire, shock, and frost. Crucial for magic users, but also beneficial for characters using essence-based abilities. It also unlocks dialogue options.
- Resolve: Improves maximum stamina and Second Wind efficiency. Ideal for heavy weapon users and tank builds. It unlocks dialogue options similar to Constitution.
Attribute Ranking and Strategic Point Allocation
While attributes synergize with specific builds, some offer broader advantages. Here's our ranking to guide your attribute point allocation:
6. Perception: While increased critical hit chance and range are appealing, their practical impact is often limited by the prevalence of close-quarters combat. Consider investing minimally, potentially respeccing for specific encounters.
5. Resolve: Increased stamina is valuable, but readily obtainable through unique armor. Second Wind's improved frequency and health restoration are helpful, but prioritizing health and mobility is often more effective.
4. Intellect: Elemental resistance is a significant boon, mitigating substantial damage. Increased maximum essence benefits all characters, even non-magic users, due to the prevalence of essence-consuming abilities.
3. Dexterity: A versatile attribute improving attack and action speed, enhancing mobility and DPS across various builds. A worthwhile investment for all playstyles.
2. Constitution: Increased maximum health and resistance to poison and bleeding are crucial for survivability, as poison and bleeding are frequently lethal.
1. Might: The most impactful attribute, significantly increasing damage output and carry capacity. Increased damage boosts DPS, while increased carry capacity is essential for managing inventory and loot.
This ranking provides a framework for building your Avowed character. Remember to adapt your approach based on your preferred playstyle and build.
