However, the real aim is to survive the onslaught of dangers thrown at you by the game—monsters, tornados, bombs, and aliens. The best strategy is to build a solid defensive structure on your plot. Yet, if you find yourself in a pinch, you can always run around the world until the danger passes. Each time you survive, you earn a "Win" and some in-game currency, which is essential for progressing in the game. Keep an eye on the screen messages, and focus on staying alive.

Don't fret if you meet your demise in *Build Defense*—it's all part of the game. Death comes frequently, but the repercussions are minimal. Upon respawning, you'll lose your items and fail the current wave, but you can quickly recover. You can repurchase your weapons and items, and your structures remain intact. The steep stairs will cause many monsters to fall, and those that reach the top can be met with an array of turrets. This setup will help you survive most nights with ease.

Beyond your plot, *Build Defense* offers a world ripe for exploration. You can visit other players, trade ores, and embark on quests. While many quests require a certain number of Wins to unlock, some, like the Gingerbread's House quest, are immediately accessible. The “Shop” isn’t just for premium items
