CDPR acknowledged weak gameplay in The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3, while critically acclaimed, wasn't without its flaws. Many players felt the combat system fell short.
In a recent interview, Witcher 4's game director, Sebastian Kalemba, acknowledged this, highlighting gameplay and monster hunting as areas needing significant upgrades. He stated: "We want to improve the gameplay and the monster hunting experience."
The upcoming Witcher 4 trailer aims to showcase a more impactful and powerful monster-fighting experience, focusing on improved choreography and emotional intensity.
Expect a substantial combat overhaul in Witcher 4. CD Projekt Red (CDPR) recognizes the shortcomings of previous Witcher games' combat and is committed to addressing them, improvements likely to carry over into future installments featuring Ciri as the protagonist of the new trilogy.
Furthermore, developers intend to incorporate Triss's wedding into the game. In Witcher 3, the "Ashen Marriage" quest was originally planned for Novigrad, depicting Triss's burgeoning feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift wedding. Geralt's role involved assisting with preparations, including monster extermination, acquiring alcohol, and choosing a wedding gift.
