With Concord's August 23rd launch fast approaching, Sony and Firewalk Studios have unveiled their post-launch content roadmap. This article details the planned updates and offers gameplay tips for optimal performance.

No Battle Pass Required

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Launching on August 23rd for PS5 and PC, Concord eschews the traditional battle pass model. Firewalk Studios prioritizes a rewarding base experience, with meaningful rewards earned through gameplay, character leveling, and objective completion. This design choice aims to provide a robust and satisfying experience from day one.

Season 1: The Tempest (October 2024)

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Concord's first season, "The Tempest," arrives in October, bringing a new Freegunner character, a fresh map, additional Freegunner Variants, and new cosmetic rewards. Weekly Cinematic Vignettes will enrich the lore surrounding the Northstar crew. An in-game store will also debut, offering purely cosmetic items that won't affect gameplay balance.

Season 2 and Beyond (January 2025)

Season 2 is scheduled for January 2025, signifying Firewalk's commitment to consistent seasonal content throughout Concord's first year. The developers promise a continuous stream of new content to keep the experience fresh and engaging.

Gameplay Strategies and Crew Building

Concord Season 1 Launches October 2024

Concord's "Crew Builder" system allows for team customization. Players assemble teams of five Freegunners, with the option to include up to three copies of a single Freegunner's Variants. This allows strategic team composition based on playstyle, game mode, and match challenges. Combining Freegunners from diverse roles unlocks Crew Bonuses, boosting mobility, weapon handling, and cooldown times.

Unlike typical shooter roles, Concord's Freegunners are designed for high DPS and effective gunfights. The six roles – Anchor, Breacher, Haunt, Ranger, Tactician, and Warden – are defined by their battlefield impact, encompassing area control, strategic positioning, and flanking maneuvers.
