"Death Stranding 2: Bosses Can Be Bypassed"
Death Stranding 2 introduces an innovative feature that allows players to bypass boss fights and still experience the story, akin to a visual novel. Dive deeper into this unique gameplay mechanic and get the latest on the game's development progress.
Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
In an exciting update for fans, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) introduces a feature designed to make the game more accessible. During the April 14 episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima announced that players can now bypass boss fights.
If a player fails a boss encounter, they can choose to "continue" at the game over screen. This choice will let them skip the combat and instead, be treated to a visual novel-style presentation of the battle. Through images and text descriptions, players can still grasp the narrative significance of these encounters without the need for direct combat, making the game more inclusive for all skill levels.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Hideo Kojima shared that DS2 is now 95% complete, likening its development stage to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, indicating that only a few hours remain until completion.
Following directly from the first game, DS2 continues to build on its intriguing storyline. At last month's South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony unveiled a 10-minute trailer, offering a glimpse into DS2's narrative and introducing new characters that have sparked fan interest.
The trailer featured a character resembling Solid Snake, along with other new story elements and gameplay features. Additionally, the event revealed details about DS2’s collector’s edition and pre-order bonuses.
