by Alexander Sep 15,2025

Rebel Wolves, headed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, previously the game director for The Witcher 3 and co-director for Cyberpunk 2077, has announced its new dark fantasy action-RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, set for release in 2026.

During yesterday's Xbox Games Showcase, Rebel Wolves unveiled pre-beta gameplay footage featuring Coen, a young man transformed into a Dawnwalker—human by day, vampire by night—as he navigates his newfound powers.

More details are coming soon. On June 21, Rebel Wolves will host a special event on the longest day of the year, where the boundary between day and night fades, promising surprising reveals. The 45-minute event will showcase 15 minutes of fresh gameplay with extended developer commentary.

The event will also highlight key gameplay elements, such as a directional combat system combining swordplay, magic, and vampiric abilities. Players will explore Vale Sangora’s diverse locations, with gameplay shifting significantly between day and night, influencing both the story and its progression.

“It’s been thrilling to share more of the game with you, and I’m grateful for our community’s amazing support,” said Tomaszkiewicz. “When we first teased the game in January, we promised a deeper look at gameplay this summer, and that time is here.”

“Join us on June 21 for our Gameplay Reveal Event, where you’ll discover more about Coen’s abilities as a Dawnwalker—a mysterious figure caught between the worlds of day and night,” he added.

In The Blood of Dawnwalker, you control Coen, a young man neither fully human nor fully vampire. With only 30 days to save his family or seek vengeance on his creator, players face a grim choice: sacrifice Coen’s humanity to protect those he loves, or resist the pull of his bloodlust, no matter the cost.
