How to Use Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia
In the thrilling world of *Phasmophobia*, hunting down the most elusive ghosts sometimes requires employing special, high-risk, high-reward items known as Cursed Possessions. Among these, the Haunted Mirror stands out as a particularly useful—and relatively safe—tool.
How to Use the Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia
The Haunted Mirror offers a significant advantage, providing a panoramic view of the ghost's current favorite room. This drastically reduces search time, allowing you to strategically position your equipment before the investigation escalates. Its effectiveness remains consistent across game updates, making it a highly recommended item if you encounter it.
You'll typically find the Haunted Mirror hanging on a wall (like in 6 Tanglewood Drive) or resting on the floor in its predetermined location. Remember, Cursed Objects always spawn in the same spot on each map; it's their random appearance that adds to the challenge.
To use it, simply pick up the mirror and interact with it using the appropriate button (mouse or controller). The reflection will reveal the ghost's favored room. However, on Professional difficulty and above, be mindful that the ghost's location might shift after a period of time.
Caution: Prolonged staring into the mirror drains your sanity. Holding it for the entire duration will shatter the mirror, triggering a terrifying Cursed Hunt at your current location. Use it wisely when your sanity is high and you're prepared to interpret what you see.
What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?
Cursed Possessions, often called "Cursed Objects," are unique items randomly spawning on any map (though availability can depend on difficulty and Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment, which offers relatively safe ghost detection and evidence gathering, Cursed Objects provide shortcuts to manipulate the ghost, but at a considerably higher risk to your character.
The risk level varies among Cursed Objects, making each choice a strategic decision. There’s no penalty for ignoring them. Only one Cursed Possession will spawn per contract (unless modified in Custom settings).
Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game:
- Summoning Circle
- Haunted Mirror
- Voodoo Doll
- Music Box
- Tarot Cards
- Ouija Board
- Monkey Paw
