Splash Damage has announced the cancellation of its long-in-development Transformers: Reactivate title. The 1-4 player online game, initially teased at The Game Awards 2022, was to feature a collaborative Autobot and Decepticon storyline against a new alien threat. While leaks suggested a roster including Generation 1 characters like Ironhide, Hot Rod, Starscream, and Soundwave, and possibly even Beast Wars characters, the project has ultimately been scrapped.

The studio cited a "lengthy and troubled development period" as the reason for cancellation. This decision unfortunately may result in staff layoffs.
