The Last Knight is a captivating side quest that adds depth to the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main quest or the larger exploration quests, it offers a unique perspective on life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a rewarding array of benefits.

Compared to more complex quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is relatively straightforward and quicker to complete. Here's a detailed walkthrough to help you navigate this engaging quest.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on this quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the quest "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing." We highly recommend finishing the main storyline before venturing into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are unlocked after completing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've finished the required questline, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house next to the main road leading out of town. He'll be marked by a blue quest marker on your map, making him easy to find.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries are a theatrical performance dedicated to a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll need to participate in the performance by confronting the Mad Knight, among other tasks.

The Mad Knight appears only at night, so advance the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, then head to the pool at the center of town. This enemy isn't particularly formidable, so unleash your full arsenal until it's defeated.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and then fly to Carlow's location as indicated by your quest marker. You'll find Carlow unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic chest.

The first three supply chests are genuine, but in the next set, only one is real, while the rest are mimics. The correct chest to open is the second one in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items. Be prepared, however, as the mimics will attack you afterward. Defeat them to proceed.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Once you've recovered from the effects of the purple flower, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations reportedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This segment involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent emanating from a nearby area. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. For this battle, we recommend equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot, as it allows you to parry the Chop Chop's attacks and instantly stun it.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper will reveal that the legendary knight of Whisperwind Haven was a myth. Instead, it was he and other Windmill Keepers who protected the town as faux knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him being taunted by a pair of knights. Instead of succumbing to fear, Carlow vows to protect others and challenges one of the knights to a duel, shedding his idealized vision of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a guardian.

The quest concludes after Carlow's challenge, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will also mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
