Devarattam Digital Revival

This app, part of my "Devarattam Digital Revival" project, celebrates the legacy of Devarattam.

Kalaimamani awardees Mr. M Kumararaman, a retired teacher, Mr. M Kannan Kumar, and Mr. K Nellai Manikandan from Zamin Kodangipatti, honored with the Kalaimamani and Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, have elevated Devarattam. I dedicate this app to these esteemed legends, my guru Mr. E Rajakamulu, and cherished Devarattam icons. The app aims to promote Devarattam and its awardees, showcasing their contributions. Devarattam, a vibrant Tamil Nadu folk dance, is performed by the Rajakambalathu Nayakkar community, both historically and today. It features 32 to 72 dance steps, with 32 as the core steps and others as variations.

Devarattam dancers, adorned with salangai on their legs and holding kerchiefs in both hands, move rhythmically to the Deva Thunthumi music.
