The zombies prowling these grim islands are fiercely aggressive. Luckily, I found a shelter to hunker down in. Check it out—I've already crafted some impressive weapons. Now, my nightmares have turned into thrilling night safaris as we fight to survive this zombie world! :) — Rick grinned, swinging a massive nail-studded baton at a fallen zombie. Enduring life on an island teeming with hordes of the undead isn't for the faint of heart. Confronting these walking corpses has helped Rick keep his sanity and remember the crucial mission that brought him to these shores.

To be honest, when I first arrived, I was sure it was the full-blown zombie apocalypse! Mutants, the living dead, and entire factions of people at war. Our group scattered across the island immediately. There was no time to get ready—from the moment we landed, we were swarmed by sprinters that moved faster than Olympians. I knew this was a one-way trip, so I focused on finding cover instead of that strange initial task. And I was right; just a day after landing, all contact with my squad was lost. I doubt any of them made it! — Rick turned off the recorder, looked down at the crocodile, and continued — At last, I can craft my own pair of crocodile leather shoes :).

I was certain today would be my last! A whole wave of zombies burst through the open steel door of the bunker I was looting. I ducked behind machinery, dashed outside, and locked them all in. I’d shut off the air conditioning beforehand—ha! I was shocked when the zombies started suffocating and even heard them screaming inside. My surprise turned to horror when I examined the bodies and realized it was my own squad!!!! This island is messing with my head, but I haven't seen this much valuable loot in ages :) — Muttering to himself, Rick smirked as he pulled a wagon piled high with ammo, armor, and precious gear.

How much time has passed? Who knows. This role-playing game has become my whole life. There has to be a final boss out there. I will find it and destroy it!

Dead Island is an apocalyptic world where everyone descends into madness in their own way. In this RPG, you must build and upgrade your shelter, craft gear, and gather resources!

In co-op mode, you'll team up for quests and boss raids. We also plan to add a PvP Arena where players can prove who's the best! If co-op and PvP are popular, we'll explore creating an MMO mode in the future.

Survival on the island is a constant struggle. You must construct a sturdy shelter. Waves of zombies will test your defenses, trying to batter down your walls. Other players may raid your base. You'll have the chance to retaliate against those who rob you.

Mine resources to craft new weapons and armor. Explore military bunkers filled with valuable loot but also deadly traps.

You'll face bosses that require special tactics to defeat, with clues found in quests and notes scattered across the islands.
