This game is built on years of research and expertise in literacy science. It integrates core literacy skills like Phonological Awareness, Letter Recognition, Phonics, Vocabulary, and Sight Word Reading to help kids build a solid reading foundation. Centered on caring for a group of monsters, it aims to foster empathy, perseverance, and socio-emotional growth in children.

WHO ARE WE?

Feed The Monster was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the EduApp4Syria competition. The original Arabic app was a collaboration between Apps Factory, CET – The Center for Educational Technology, and IRC – The International Rescue Committee.

Feed The Monster was adapted to English by Curious Learning, a nonprofit committed to providing effective literacy content to all who need it. We are a team of researchers, developers, and educators dedicated to delivering evidence-based literacy education in children's native languages worldwide – and we're working to bring the Feed The Monster app to over 100 high-impact global languages.
