Monster Hunter Wilds Surpassed 8 Million Units in 3 Days
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has soared to unprecedented heights, becoming Capcom's fastest-selling game by selling over 8 million units within three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their official website, highlighting MH Wilds as the swiftest title to reach this impressive mark in the company's history.
The game's launch was met with enthusiasm, as reported by SteamDB, with MH Wilds reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their relentless promotional efforts, including showcasing the game at global video game events and conducting an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, MH Wilds has released a crucial update that addresses several bugs that were hindering player progress. Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced on Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025, that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.
This patch resolves issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as expected, the Monster Field Guide becoming inaccessible, and a critical bug that halted story progression at Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.
However, not all issues have been resolved yet. Some bugs, including network errors triggered by firing an SOS flare after a quest starts, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damage, remain unaddressed. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
