by Lillian Jun 13,2025

CrazyGames is set to launch its *Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025*, a global 10-day game development event taking place from April 25th to May 5th. This jam, hosted in collaboration with Photon—the world’s leading multiplayer service provider—invites indie developers from around the globe to showcase their creativity and technical skill by building innovative web-based multiplayer games.

Participants will have the chance to compete for a total prize pool of €10,000 in cash and premium Photon licenses, including:

  • Photon Circle Starter (500 CCU) for one year – valued at €7,500
  • 500 CCU package for one year – valued at €1,500
  • 100 CCU package for one year – valued at €100

The only mandatory requirements are that all entries must be developed and submitted during the jam period and comply with PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond that, developers are encouraged to explore their full creative potential without restrictions.

Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has grown into the most popular free online gaming platform, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL technologies to deliver seamless browser-based gameplay across thousands of titles. With support from Photon, CrazyGames will not only sponsor this jam but also consider publishing top-performing games on its platform.

Pre-Jam Livestream & New WebGL Platforms

A pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. The stream will offer valuable insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, Mark Val, shared his enthusiasm, stating: “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples make it easier than ever to create high-performance multiplayer games. We believe a WebGL game will rank in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites within the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 offers the perfect opportunity to push innovation on this platform.”

Open Participation & Easy Registration

Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is completely free and open to developers of all experience levels. For more information or to sign up, visit the official jam page.
