We gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 a rating of 8/10. It matches the price of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 but outperforms it in most games tested and comes with more VRAM (16GB vs 12GB), suggesting greater future-proofing. Our tests showed it consumes about the same power as the RTX 5070.

It delivers superb 1440p performance, often reaching high-refresh rates without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. Its only limitation is its close performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT earned a perfect 10/10 from us. It's $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti but outperforms it in several games, with some benchmarks showing a significant gap. It also features 16GB of VRAM, matching the 9070 and 5070 Ti. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter on average compared to the RTX 5070 Ti.
