AMD RX 9060 XT Specs Unveiled

by Allison Nov 17,2025

AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, succeeding the popular RX 9070 XT launched in March. Details remain limited about this upcoming mid-range graphics solution.

The RX 9060 XT packs 32 Compute Units paired with a generous 16GB of GDDR6 memory - impressive specs for a card primarily targeting 1080p gaming. With its compact design, the GPU maintains efficiency with a Total Board Power (TBP) rating between 150-182W, significantly lower than its flagship sibling.

Given its reduced Compute Unit count and approximately half the power consumption of the RX 9070 XT, performance expectations should be appropriately tempered. While AMD hasn't disclosed pricing or availability, potential cost savings could make this an attractive option.

The Budget GPU Wars Heat Up

Despite AMD's silence on pricing, the RX 9060 XT will likely compete directly with Intel's Arc B580 and Nvidia's RTX 5060 - both priced around $250-$300 with 145W and 190W power envelopes respectively.

This positions the RX 9060 XT in a potentially advantageous spot, offering double the VRAM of Nvidia's competitor (16GB vs 8GB) and more than Intel's 12GB configuration at similar price points - assuming AMD maintains competitive pricing.

While performance benchmarks will ultimately determine its value, the substantial VRAM advantage could future-proof the 9060 XT as game memory demands increase. If AMD hits the right price-performance balance, this could emerge as the most compelling budget GPU option when it launches.
