Freedom Wars Remastered Shows Off Gameplay Systems

Freedom Wars Remastered: Enhanced Gameplay and New Features Revealed

A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases improved gameplay and control systems, offering a fresh look at this dystopian action RPG. Players will battle colossal mechanical creatures, upgrade their equipment, and tackle diverse missions in a world ravaged by resource depletion.

This remastered edition boasts significant enhancements. Expect enhanced visuals, faster-paced combat, a revamped crafting system, a challenging new difficulty mode, and all original customization DLC included from the outset. Freedom Wars Remastered launches January 10th on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.

Originally a PlayStation Vita exclusive, Freedom Wars shares a gameplay loop strikingly similar to the Monster Hunter series (following Capcom's decision to expand Monster Hunter to Nintendo platforms). Players take on the role of a "Sinner," sentenced to complete missions for their Panopticon (city-state). These missions involve battling massive mechanical adversaries known as Abductors, harvesting their parts for upgrades, and securing control systems – all playable solo or cooperatively online.

The recently released trailer highlights the key improvements in Freedom Wars Remastered. Graphics receive a significant boost, reaching 4K resolution at 60 FPS on PS5 and PC. PS4 players can expect 1080p at 60 FPS, while the Switch version runs at 1080p, 30 FPS. Gameplay is noticeably faster, thanks to refined mechanics, increased movement speed, and improved attack cancellation.

Crafting and upgrades are streamlined with more intuitive interfaces and the ability to freely attach and detach modules. A new module synthesis feature allows players to enhance modules using resources gained from rescued citizens. Finally, a new "Deadly Sinner" difficulty mode caters to seasoned players, ensuring a robust challenge.
