Marvel Rivals Showcases Its Season 1 Darkhold Battle Pass

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass

NetEase Games' upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," plunges players into a gothic, Dracula-centric storyline where the Fantastic Four confront the forces of darkness. Launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, this season introduces a captivating Darkhold battle pass brimming with exclusive rewards.

The 990 Lattice battle pass (approximately $10) offers a treasure trove of cosmetic items. Completing the pass rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future purchases. Ten unique skins headline the rewards, alongside sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A reassuring note: uncompleted passes don't expire, allowing players to earn rewards at their own pace.

A Sneak Peek at the Season 1 Skins:

The battle pass showcases a striking visual style. The trailer reveals compelling character redesigns: Magneto as King Magnus (House of M inspired), Rocket Raccoon with a Western outlaw look, and Iron Man in Dark Souls-esque golden armor. Peni Parker sports a vibrant blue and white suit, while Namor dons a green and gold ensemble.

Here's a complete list of the Season 1 battle pass skins:

  • Loki – All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto – King Magnus
  • Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor
  • Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine – Blood Berserker

The Dark and Gloomy Aesthetic:

The season's dark aesthetic is prominent. Wolverine's skin evokes Van Helsing, while a blood moon casts a sinister glow over the new New York City maps. Loki's All-Butcher skin is menacing in dark green and black, Moon Knight sports a black and white contrast, and Scarlet Witch's red and purple dress remains iconic. Adam Warlock's golden armor and crimson cape complete the dark fantasy theme.

A Note on the Fantastic Four:

While the battle pass generates significant excitement, the absence of Fantastic Four skins initially surprised some fans. Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, but their cosmetic items will be available separately in the in-game shop.

With a compelling storyline, a visually stunning battle pass, and the introduction of new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 promises an exciting chapter for players. The anticipation for future NetEase Games content is certainly high.
