Discover the Pokémon TCG Vending Machine Phenomenon!

Pokémon fans are buzzing about the automated Pokémon vending machines popping up across the US. These aren't your average snack dispensers; they offer a curated selection of Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) merchandise.

What are they?

These eye-catching vending machines, easily spotted with their bright colors and Pokémon branding, primarily dispense Pokémon TCG products. Think booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and other related items. They utilize a touchscreen interface for easy browsing and credit card payment, complete with charming Pokémon animations. While a digital receipt is emailed, returns aren't accepted.

What do they sell?

Currently, US machines focus on Pokémon TCG products. While stock varies, expect to find booster packs and Elite Trainer Boxes. Unlike some earlier models in Washington State, these machines generally don't sell plush toys, apparel, or video games.

Finding a machine near you:

The official Pokémon Center website maintains an updated list of vending machine locations. Currently, machines are available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin. The website allows you to filter by state to find nearby participating stores (Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Frys, Kroger, Pick ‘n Save, Safeway, Smith’s, and Tom Thumb are common locations). You can also follow the list to receive notifications about new machine installations. Note that distribution is currently concentrated in specific cities within each state.
