PainterSVG

A free painting application for working with Scalable Vector Graphics.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is the official W3C standard for vector-based images. Unlike bitmap images which are made of fixed pixels, vector graphics consist of defined shapes and their properties. The key advantage of SVG is its scalability—enlarging the image does not reduce quality or detail.

PainterSVG is an editor designed for creating and modifying SVG graphics. It includes the following features:

- Create and edit shapes including lines, circles, rectangles, and more

- Create and edit paths with support for straight, cubic, and quadratic lines; easily drag points and control handles to adjust paths

- Intuitive controls for defining stroke and fill settings for all shapes and paths

- Apply solid color fills, linear gradients, or radial gradients to any shape

- Easily select or deselect elements, then drag to move, resize, or rotate them

- Simple zoom in and zoom out functionality

- Group elements together or ungroup them as needed

- Read from and write to external SVG files

- Export images as PNG (with transparent background) or JPG (with white background)
