This groundbreaking competition utilizes Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE, empowering student teams (up to 20 members) to collaborate on game creation. Participants will assume roles mirroring professional game development, gaining invaluable experience under the mentorship of Capcom developers. The six-month project offers a unique opportunity to master cutting-edge game development techniques. Capcom will provide production support and potential commercialization opportunities for winning entries.

Competition Details:

  • Eligibility: Japanese students (18+) enrolled in universities, graduate schools, or vocational schools.
  • Application Period: December 9, 2024 – January 17, 2025 (subject to change).

RE ENGINE: Powering Innovation

The competition leverages Capcom's RE ENGINE (Reach for the Moon Engine), initially developed for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017. This powerful engine has since powered numerous successful Capcom titles, including recent Resident Evil installments, Dragon's Dogma 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. Its ongoing evolution ensures the creation of high-quality gaming experiences.
