Applin Is Making Its Debut in Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries Soon!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for a delightful treat with the upcoming Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable Applin for the first time in the game. Whether you're a dedicated collector or on the hunt for shiny Pokémon, this event is not to be missed. Dive in to learn all about what's in store.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars for the Sweet Discoveries event, kicking off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region, will make its grand debut in Pokémon GO.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, you'll require the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. For its final evolution into Dipplin and then Hydrapple, keep an eye on future updates for more details.

Speaking of Apples, they're crucial for Applin's evolution and can be found in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase around Mossy Lure Modules, so make sure to use them strategically.

Did You Know?

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as just another piece of fruit. This makes Applin one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO roster.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag some new avatar items from the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Plus, enjoy the event bonus of earning 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch.

Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild will be higher, and you'll have an increased opportunity to hatch Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.

Another sweet addition to the event is that catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries. So, if you haven't already, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
