Netflix’s Rise of the Golden Idol Is Dropping Its First DLC The Sins of New Wells

Netflix's "Rise of the Golden Idol" is set to expand its universe with the release of its first DLC, "The Sins of New Wells," launching on mobile devices on March 4th. This exciting addition will also be available on PC and consoles, but for mobile users, it's a special treat as it will be completely free, thanks to Netflix Gaming.

What’s in Store?

"The Sins of New Wells" promises to delve deeper into mystery, crime, and the enigmatic Lemurian magic. The setting is New Wells, a city plagued with corruption and crime, where homicide detective Roy Samson finds himself transferred to the notorious 9th District, a place where justice is a distant concept. Alongside his new partner, Cliff Savea, Roy uncovers a series of brutal crimes that lead them to a far more sinister plot.

The DLC introduces four gripping new cases: "Following Orders," "Trouble Unleashed," "The Raid," and "Unraveling." Each case weaves a complex web of crime, deception, and mystery. Players will need to interrogate mostly dishonest characters and solve intricate puzzles to piece together the truth behind these tangled stories. Be prepared for the madness that grips New Wells.

Are You a Netflix Subscriber?

For mobile players who are Netflix subscribers, "The Sins of New Wells" will be available at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT on launch day. Color Gray Games has teased that this is just the beginning, with plans for at least four more DLCs to be released throughout 2025.

"Rise of the Golden Idol" has already established itself as a standout modern detective game. If you're a Netflix subscriber, you can enjoy this game for free on the Google Play Store.
