How to Survive All Monsters in Pressure

Below is a detailed list of how to beat all monsters in Pressure. Some monsters appear randomly, others are Node-specific with set paths, and some are area-specific, like the DiVine in Oxygen Gardens. I'll provide specific strategies for dealing with each one, along with cues to watch out for, so you know when and where to hide. Be cautious of Cleithrophobia, which can force you out of hiding if you stay concealed for too long. Instead of hiding prematurely, pay attention to the signs for each monster described below.

Pandemonium

When you notice the lights flickering, Pandemonium might be on its way. Avoid rushing into a locker to hide immediately because of Cleithrophobia. Instead, stand near a locker and wait for the monster's roar. Pandemonium will instantly kill any players in its direct line of sight who aren't hidden. If it approaches your locker, you'll be thrust into a mini-game where you must keep your cursor centered on the screen as it moves. Surviving this mini-game means you've successfully evaded Pandemonium.

Good People

Good People appear in rooms with dead-end doors, one of which could be a Fake Door leading to an attack. To avoid this fate, remember these cues:

Fake Door Cues: Approach doors closely without opening them to listen for breathing, growling, sparks, or faint scanlines on the navi-path sign, indicating the presence of Good People.

Dark Rooms: In dark settings, the navi-path screen for Fake doors remains lit, while real doors stay dark.

HQ Message: If HQ directs you to a specific path without mentioning incorrect ones, be on high alert for Fake doors.

Eyefestation

This shark-like monster lurks in rooms with ocean-view windows. Avoid making eye contact through these windows, as it will drain your HP. Simply walk out of the room without looking outside to make Eyefestation despawn.

Squiddles

Dealing with Squiddles is straightforward: turn off your light when you see them and keep your distance. They appear in dark rooms or those darkened by other monsters. By turning off your light and giving them a wide berth, you can safely pass them.

Locker Void-Mass

These slimes randomly spawn inside lockers. Entering a locker with a Void-Mass inside will cause damage and trap you. Check for purple slime before entering any locker. If you find yourself trapped, you'll take continuous damage until you die or are freed by another player.

Wall Dweller

Wall Dwellers emerge from walls to chase and instantly kill players. Listen for footsteps that are out of sync with other players. Turning around to face a Wall Dweller will make it retreat. If one attacks a teammate, you can approach and attack it. Baiting them into an attack and having another player kill them is the best strategy.

A key detail about Wall Dwellers is that contact with roaming Nodes like The Angler will kill them, leaving behind a meat chunk for health regeneration. However, meat from player-killed Wall Dwellers is defective and won't heal.

Redeemer and Hanger

Finding the Redeemer revolver triggers a minigame with the Hanger monster spawning behind you. The challenge is to mash the E (Interact) button to resist the Hanger's influence. Success means you shoot the Hanger and survive; failure results in either shooting yourself or getting stabbed by the Hanger for 20 damage each hit.

Candlebearers & Candlebrutes

Candlebearers can be stunned by light, but avoid shining it on them for more than 3 seconds to prevent them from becoming enraged and chasing you. They deal low damage even if they reach you, so sporadic light exposure is recommended to slow them down without enraging them. You'll know they're enraged when their light turns fully blue.

Candlebrutes, a tougher variant, are only slowed by light, not stunned. Emergency lights have no effect on them, and they're faster than Candlebearers. You can shine light on them for up to 5 seconds before they become enraged.

The Angler

The Angler and its variants are among the most common monsters in *Pressure*. Flickering lights signal its arrival, prompting you to hide in a nearby locker, the most effective way to evade it. Alternatively, submerging your head in water works. The Angler only spawns in rooms with lockers, and failure to hide during the flickering will result in an instant kill upon its arrival.

Pinkie

Pinkie operates similarly to The Angler but without the flickering light warning. You'll hear a screech as she approaches, signaling you to hide in a locker. She only spawns in rooms with a hiding spot.

Froger

Froger mimics The Angler's light flickering and screeching but has a unique twist: it rebounds back through the rooms it's haunted, requiring you to hide again as it returns.

Chainsmoker

Chainsmoker, another Angler variant, signals its presence with flickering lights and the sound of rattling chains. It emits green smoke before entering a room, which can force you out of a locker. The optimal time to hide is when your screen starts shaking upon its arrival, ensuring you're not expelled by the smoke. Chainsmoker is one of the slower monsters.

Blitz

Blitz is the fastest of the Node monsters, appearing in rooms with hiding spots or immediately after you leave one. Its approach is marked by screeching, followed by a loud roar just before it enters a room, which is your cue to hide. Be mindful of its speed.

Bottomfeeder

Bottomfeeder is exclusive to The Dredge area, attacking only when players are in the water. Use dry surfaces to evade it; it despawns if all players are out of the water. If caught, you're forced into a mini-game where you mash Q and E (or special buttons on mobile) to escape. This drains your health, but winning the mini-game kicks the monster away, giving you time to reach dry land.

The DiVine

The DiVine, found in Oxygen Gardens, remain passive if you avoid the grass patches. Stepping on grass activates them, making them hostile and causing them to chase and deal 75 damage if they get close. You have a brief moment to step off the grass once activated. Be aware that they can combine with other monsters; for instance, avoid grass and eye contact if an Eyefestation is present.
