ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

Paint, draw, and share your creativity with the world. ArtClash is a work-in-progress, currently in early access—with the first game live and many more features on the way.

We’re not Sketchbook. We’re not Photoshop. We’re not Procreate. We’re not Infinite Painter. We are ArtClash.

ArtClash was created to inspire daily drawing, sketching, and cartooning practice. Born from a personal mission, this is a one-person project built so my wife and I could draw together every day—and now, we’re opening it up to help others build the same habit.

Current Features

• Paint, Sketch & Blend – Full painting tools with blending support
• Import Images – Use photos as references or paint directly over them
• Topic Challenges – Pick a theme or series, add optional constraints, draw it, and earn points when others guess it right
• 6 Difficulty Levels – From single-word prompts to complex combinations of nouns, verbs, places, and time periods
• Challenge Constraints – Boost your score with optional limits: time, color count, or canvas size
• Free Draw Mode – Create anything freely and share it with the community
• NSFW Filter – Option to view or hide content marked as Not Safe For Work

Known Early Access Issues

• UI Design – The current Unity-based UI is functional but not polished. We’re planning a full rebuild using XAML for better responsiveness and aesthetics.
• Performance on Large Canvases – While the brush engine is GPU-accelerated, performance drops significantly on canvases larger than 1024x1024, especially with small brushes on lower-end devices. We’re testing alternative engines to deliver faster, smoother rendering in future updates.

• Additional games, starting with a drawing version of “Telephone”
• Enhanced social features: customizable avatars, comments, friend/follow system
• Improved UI and a faster, optimized brush engine
• Marquee selection and transform tools
• More brush types – the engine supports any brush texture, and we’ll be adding user-submitted options
• Advanced layer controls: lock transparent pixels, masking, and more
• Developer feedback system – request features, report bugs, and vote on upcoming changes
• Moderation tools – community moderators to review flagged content
• User-submitted topics and constraints – suggest prompts that can be added after review
• Long-term: full image editing, animation support, scripting, and storyboard/game prototyping tools

Due to current performance limitations with large textures and the absence of advanced editing tools, ArtClash is not intended to replace professional image suites. Instead, it’s optimized for fun, social drawing challenges and creative encouragement.
